the sun filters into the room, warming the floor boards and beckoning the inhabitants to come out and play. such is the feeling when you live in a place with changing weather. on sunny days, you yearn to be outside, to be taking advantage of the good weather as it will not last. when we have a small amount of something, such as good weather, it is easier to enjoy it. like free time between classes, flip it around and watch the students wander around in boredom.

oh the other side of the mountains, the grassy fields and sunny skies. its always sunnier over there. the wives do not fight, the kids get good marks and all of the people are interesting and interested in you. the other side, its where the good times are at.

time captured, from http://dougmccune.com/blog/

i’ve noticed of late that if i try to remember back a few days the memory fails. i recall some parts, but piecing it together in a continuous time frame has been difficult.  its not too concerning, i can still recall directions, peoples names and what i am supposed to do, it is recalling days bygone and what i actually did that fails me. like missing parts in a history book, think of all that has been done and forgotten. it reminds me of what the victims of natural disasters complain about…that they will be forgotten.
