byfar the greatest thing in life is hope. its unknown and forever afar but appealing none the less. it awaits us all in so many forms. it gets us going, keeps us focused and allows a picture to be formed that allows us an idea of a better tomorrow. without it, the world is dark and of no interest. it is what keeps us away from giving up on the impossible.

there is always something that is waiting. a vacation, an object a person that is coming down the stream. we must have this aspiration, this reaching for the stars, the light, the outer cosmos. we are weeds in a field, growing uneven, but growing none the less. we can help others to forget ourselves for a bit.

better to have a short life doing what you like what your doing, then a long life doing what you do not want—-alan watts.

once we grasp it, we are quick to let go. to look at the object we have captured and not too want it any longer. we let it go and then go on to something else. swinging from one tree to another, like transversing a jungle gym. wanting to get to there…to the other end. even when we know the mountain afar is not as green as we imagine we still trek to it. it is one of lifes great illusions that allow us to grow and evolve and keep content in this game.
