teddy Roosevelt’s diary, the day his wife died.

many people like to talk about how busy they are. taking meetings, managing projects or chairing various groups seems like the goal for many people i run across. the busier the better. but shouldn’t the opposite be true? isn’t free time the goal and the work the thing to avoid? where did we end up and how did we end up here? why is it hard to do very little and what does it sound like to others if we express that we are doing little?

when you plan a trip, not many people end up staying put to the destination they are going. after checking in and dropping the luggage, it is time to hit the sites. trip to europe, youd better visit a few countries. finished with one chore, assignment, project, come on there are others waiting. fear going to a place and doing nothing, yet those are the moments that are the best.
