a bit of movement, in all directions. humour, action, drama, some suspense. a day should have it all. it should not follow a script, and if does or if you need one this is also ok. continuation of events, learning, forgetting, making new friends while trying to hold onto the old. growing, challenging yourself, creating new habits. reaching out to loved ones, forming real bonds and letting go of other things. bouncing around, remembering its all a dance and doing your best to dance along. relaxing. sneaking in a daytime nap, skipping meetings. not all, but some.
it is the moments of play in it all that are worth striving for. the long lunches, vacations at the beach and visits to the galleries. you must have worked though, to enjoy them. you have to earn the points to get onto the dance floor. if not the feeling is not the same, you cannot just eat cake and drink all day long. play ceases to be play when it is concurrent. if you play all the time it gets boring. the same is true with work.
ill wake again tomorrow, this i am pretty sure of. some work awaits, a renovation and a property showing, a negotiation will pursue on a deal and ill do my best to put in some effort with a few friends i have been meaning to catch up with. at some point ill reach out to my family, to say hello and try to make them laugh. ill create a secret only i know about, find a new path along the ever developing city i call home and do my best to bring wonder to another. its enough.
