it will come. the ball rolls into the goal, the problem at hand solved, the dream achieved. your ideal spouse. then what? how to keep the fire burning, the dream from fading, how to stop looking back and forth across the field at the green grass growing on the other side? how does one keep marveling at a world ashine?

one way is to have it taken away. with the possibility of not having it there for you, most things take on a new light. to be grateful each time you can open your eyes, walk on your legs, knowing one day that will not happen should be enough. a daily reminder to be grateful.

another way is to keep moving the goalpost. knowing that it is a game, showing that the score is the way to go, keep moving the post. if you get it in, move it again and do it all over. keep it up for certain things, others should stop once the goal is made, we cannot keep working on new people in our lives once we have found the right one.
