what are people so busy doing? for a single mother of three, I do not need that answered. but i meet plenty of people who claim to not have any time, busy with one thing or the other, I imagine poor time management or taking something else too seriously. the 12 hours of daylight we are offered should be plenty to take care of whatever task at hand plus some. why so busy? in the past 100 years we have doubled our life span here, there is plenty of time to be wasted.
i would argue to play more. if time on earth is finite, then an argument could be made that time spent happy and playing would be a better use of it. playing has less of a point, like a song or a dance, there is no one particular place it needs to end up. work on the other hand should be a simple exchange of time versus money. a calculated assessment of what you put in and how much you get out. there is little else to measure. i suppose in many instances it is not simple to assess where the effort and receivables are tied, but one could look at the waste in the office, in the forms and find plenty of excess.
nobody is too busy, it is simply a matter of priorities.
at times I feel that plenty of us are using the excuse of work and its ever in cumbersome structure to avoid activities they consider a waste. they would rather be in their offices then their homes, then with their children, then at play. that they have lost the ability to deal well with the other areas so their time is spent on something they think they can measure or cannot be measured. and arguably, in a world that is full of different folk perhaps this is true. for if all were playing it would not be called play any more and at the end who would be collecting the trash?
