We have the ability to place ourselves in the future. To see our future. Like most things, it can be a blessing or curse. As one goes through life they begin to play out scenarios where things come to be. One can see the rewards and punishments laid out before them, going through actions and thoughts that put them where they imagine they want or need to be. They play out certain roles and characters that form the person for not only who they are then, but who they will become. we are both ourselves now and the selves we become, its why it feels like a continuation.

This ability to see ahead is why it is a better feeling to earn money now than spend, for we see ourselves with more or less in the future. It is also why it feels good to help, imagining a day in the future where this reward might happen upon us. It is why we reflect what we are doing to oureslves, choosing the wiser item on the menu and getting in exercise rather than to fall prey to our desires and consume those items we grow to regret and items that cause harm to us. Although many do. you see them in the now and their demise into the future.

Sometimes we get trapped. Reacting in a way where they can no longer place themselves ahead of the crux we might be in. You see this in people behaving selfishly, in those that are hurt at the moment and do not have the ability to go beyond today. The drunk also exhibit this, having the inability to come to terms with their future, they happen onto others, their own self reacting outwardly to others. Many of us mirrors to our own surroundings, we can no longer see the future beyond the moving pictures in front of our eyes. reacting to the ongoings of now instead pausing to form tomorrow.
