the most it can come to is nothing. the exact sum of what we arrived with and how we will exit. in the meantime we have collective memories along with material goods that accompany us on a ride of a lifetime.
we get to make friends and enemies, have adventures, swim and skip and make love. we learn to argue and make people laugh, we learn about being mindful, about how to have empathy and to learn a way to be in this world. we learn to speak to one another, far beyond words, how to interact and make gestures that put others at ease. we get to watch theater and tv, listen to music and make a bit of it up. we learn when to lie and when to tell the truth.
in the end we start forgetting it all. we give up the things we have collected, not caring if others care to take over those possessions. we lose our friends and family members, either in death or disagreement. we lose the energy to make our beds anymore, our desire to make a difference and our will to go on. we exit as we came, in a revolving door or chance where each day is a lottery of chance in a time and place we happen to have been given.

So eloquently stated but I think it could end with a comma followed by three more words:
to start anew.
