Pursuing the restoration of something that should be saved is as good enough of a reason as any to do anything. 

Working on restoring an old, abandoned pool next to where I reside in Oahu, Honolulu. Have made baby steps but will need to put some elbow grease into the effort if I expect to get any progress done. Many people involved in decision making, just sorting that out at the moment. The group that I joined have been working on the effort for over twenty years, time to help see if we can advance the ball down field

Should be more like this but will take some time. Many hats involved, sometimes democracy can be a detriment to progress.
