its easy to lose sight of today. to focus on the future, to ignore the time at hand. the glitter wares off and we look to tomorow. to keep the luster you must have more, its got to be newer, you need to go further, its hardwired this need to improve. from a young age we are pushed to go further, do better, achieve more. never told to be content with who we are, there is a constant push to move to who we might become. to what we might be.
at the same time what of the here and now. a conflicting idea of finding content in today. the here and now is all that matters, enjoy what you have, who you are, where you lay. stay content with what you have. be the ball, count yourself one of the lucky ones and stop thinking of tomorrow, so the sage say.
probably somewhere in between is where to fall. it will rain tomorrow, winter will come and using all your points today will leave you out of the game tomorrow. then again, spending all your time at the office or in class if your attendance is not mandatory is a waste of a fine day, if you have better plans, take them.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Ferris Bueller
follow the thoughts in hand, take opportunities as they come, play games but consider the future. they are intertwined, and what is best is to be in the now while knowing about tomorrow. step in step out. its the dance, between yesterday, today and tomorrow and they are all quite important and not at the same time.
