a bit anxious these days…too much on the mind. unable to pull away, small things are eating at the joy as it does so often in life. the video below allows it to be put into perspective. from far away, our problems really seems so small. 

one of my favorite books on people, dr. scott pecks’ the road less traveled begins with one of the most significant truths…life is difficult. 

people forget this. i forget this. even in its ease, when you have time off and you are on vacation with your family, it is tough. you are trying to have fun. you need to, you are spending money and traveling with the ones you love, but it is in this vexing moment when fun eludes you. 

it reminds one of chevy chase in national lampoons vacation when he looks back at the occupants in the car (his family) and angrily demands, “are we having fun yet.?” the occupants are miserable.
