if i manage to not upset anyone, knock over anything or lose anything…it was a pretty good day. a dance, at its best, is all it really is. meeting new partners, working together in significant but actually very insignificant ways, in circles we spin until we lose the energy or inclination to dance any longer. until then the involvement continues, people and places come and go, so many shapes and shades, most overall good, guessing and blindly feeling their way in front of them. doing the best they can with the cards that they are dealt.

some, like fruit in a basket, are on the bottom and get bruised and start to rot. they infect the others, but typically get tossed out. more fall, usually close to the tree, blooming into trees themselves. offering shade, sometimes casting it, but producing fruit on their own behalf. less and less these days, there is too much fruit out there already, the markets are full.

over and over again this continues. like pages in a book that never ends, our consumption and regurgitation of the same things allow history to repeat, or at the least rhyme. how many times can things repeat? at a certain point, there is someone else, not far away, doing the same thing you are doing. we are all at the center. just like you can take an imaginary point anywhere and call it the center. understanding this will take you a long way for understanding the importance of thers and the significance of their point of view or in them making a bit of progress or leeway in this dance called life.
