its snowing out and i should be at the ocean. instead, i am in my other home and there is a flurry of snow and rain coming down. i prefer snow to rain, it is prettier and falls slower. it still makes everything wet though.

just read a great and revealing article called evictionland on curbed media. it made me a bit sad but also showed me just how delicate many people are in the world and how a few bad choices will find them out of their house, on the street, with not many people willing to help.

i am not sure that the cliff of homelesness and eviction should be so high. in my heart, i would love to help out these people. they are struggling, usually from no fault of their own, and their problems are real. but i am not sure that helping them out too much is an option either. if you help them out, it reduces the incentives of people helping themselves. if you can get something by not working or struggling, then would anyone? its a tough one.
