to type these words feels like going back to a stick of wood i have been whittling, shaping and sharpening, it feels as though it is starting to resemble a stick. through repetition and perseverance, one starts to feel a sense of accomplishment of their goals in this life regardless of what they work on. according to aristotle, as long as the works done are not effecting others negatively, then happiness and contentment should set in. humans, with all their distractions and conditions, simply wants to feel that they are accomplishing something in this world.

one can try to push the you of today beyond that of yesterday. in some sense, whether it be to illicit more laughter or assisting in helping, simple actions can give one meaning. this meaning can justify the suffering that comes with everyday existing and on occasions, depending on your actions, can counter balance this feeling of insignificance and senseless thing called life.

push your boundaries, that is what they are there for.

there is a story where a guy pushes himself beyond his comfort zone to accomplish things that otherwise could not be done by an average human. but discipline, determination and this desire to mean something has him swimming around all of great britian. he ends his story by explaining that there is a region well beyond walking around and feeling content that we can get to when pushed. a region where few go but all around you see people pushing there. in sports and in science, within each classroom and walking all around us, man is continuing it push within the boundaries the world has set it in. pushing the edge in search of meaning and accomplishment to further and further lengths. it is in this pursuit of the edge where one, if lucky, can find purpose in all this noise.
