walk as though your feet were kissing the earth.

Thich Nhat Hanh

happiness and sadness look so similar.

an angiosperm, the most evolved plant in our species, will flower under too much stress, hoping to keep the survival of its species intact. it will create vivid colors and various shapes in order to compete to reproduce, even if sick. all it thinks about is its own survival. i think we share many similar traits.

our importance for feeling wanted, strong or beautiful. our desire for social interaction, our thoughts always on sex and the urge in our own lives to replicate, even if its dying. we never stop wanting to flower, to attract the right combination of interactions so we too can spread, can survive, can thrive. so our desire for wealth is our way to add color to ourselves, to attract the opposite sex so that they see us, come to us, mate and perhaps reproduce. our flashy cars, clothes, post anything to give us some edge in the competition all around us. it happens in nature. it happens with us.

so related we are to the species around us. our desire and creativity to evolve, to survive will lead many of us through this global warming situation into the the next era. many will not survive and maybe this is the way. but within each batch will be those that outshine and attract the others. they will find the higher ground, promising to keep intact their species through evolution. a shouting match that is becoming ever amplified both online and off as wars and rising waters, plagues and lockups stress our species. even in all this turmoil one can guarantee that flowers will still bloom.
