nothingness is the basis of everything.

Sadhguru

if we look backwards we can see how we got here, but only so far. after a certain point of looking back it gets blurry, greater gaps appear in the memory, larger spaces of emptiness. the same rings true when you look too far out or into a space, if you keep zooming in more and more emptiness appears. there are clusters of pieces, but more and more space appears, a great example of this is shown in the power a ten, a video produced by IBM by the eames association in the 1970s, its attached below.

then there are these moments in our day that also seem to hold emptiness. time spent preparing for a meal, waiting to go out, slowly rising from bed or playing with a pet. moments that seem to hold nothing real exactly, no point to it but to fill the spaces in between. these are the memories that are easily forgotten, this the empty time between the moments that seem to count. the nonsense is the space between it all, the collective moments of waiting for something to happen while also occupying some sort of space.

there is something in nothingness. the absence or quite space between the tunes is what makes the music as much as the tunes themselves. it is the other side of the mountain. the countless space between it all, the lead up to events that come and go with little fan-fair. to partake is the point, to observe is the point. to see it all for what it is and is not, the insignificance of a moment makes the others more memorable. the space defines the moments, without them it would all be one loud noise, one thick line, nothing to compare it too, nothing to give it proportions.
