in the end, we all end up here. just as amazing as birth, the end is just as unpredictable. a person’s life means so little in the big scheme of things, but on an individual level, when it is your family or close friend, or you, it means the world. imagine the aftermath, like before we got here, nothingness awaits, all the pain and pleasure put away, pushed into another dimension, at least here it ends.

the fighting rages, but inside my ear buds all i can hear is folk music. an all out battle for freedom rages a few hundred miles south of me, swarms of people leaving their homes under corrupt regimes, water shortages, local militias, and in my part of the world signs of prosperity and commerce spring up but all i see is debris. like a late delay where the cancer will spread too, but safe for now.

more stuff. cannot even enjoy the things in hand, but i must have more. like a weed growing upwards, more sunshine, spread the roots, more water. an innate instinct to grab handfuls of free keychains, bread at the buffet, hotel shampoo bottles, discarded furniture, books, piles upon piles stored away like some hoarder who has room to hide his sickness. shut the lights…so as to have more money in the end. this sickness is spreading.
